Frequently asked questions

What does this include?

This is a hyper-targeted DIY program focused on helping you improve your storytelling skills. It includes: * About an hour of rapid-fire video content * 2 to 3 hours of structured homework * A scoring framework to evaluate your stories & improve them

How do you know these tactics work?

I've helped over 100 people land tech roles in the past 3 years by taking an experiment-driven approach, to identify the tactics that make you stand out. This program is the exact same storytelling tactics that I teach my 1:1 clients, but packaged up into a hyper-focused program to help you stand out & convert more offers.

What are your qualifications?

I've worked in the tech industry for 26 yrs & I have 18 yrs of coaching experience. I've worked mostly as a Technical PM, Software Engineer, and Engineering Manager. I've worked for Microsoft, Zillow, Coinbase, and a host of other companies. I've been a guest on many podcasts (search on Brian Pulliam in your favorite podcast player to find them). I've been featured in NYT, Dice, LeadDev, Tech Baddie, CIO.com, DevX, and many other publications.

Why focus on storytelling tactics?

I've interviewed hundreds of tech applicants. Most of you are terrible at storytelling. That's actually good news for you ; if you can get just 20% better, you'll stand out in a huge way. That's what this program is meant to do.
